“I’ve always been self-conscious about my teeth,” Bill said. “Without getting into too much backstory, let’s just say I didn’t have access to great dental care when I was a child – and it shows.” Bill’s teeth were crooked and badly stained. “It was awkward during college, but it was really when I started job hunting that I realized how much of a professional disadvantage my teeth were. In those instances where I did get an interview, I could see what an impact my teeth had; doors were being shut in my face.”
Bill had tried whitening toothpastes and solutions available in grocery stores, but was not pleased with the results. “You can spend a ton of money and really not see much of a difference,” he explained. “Then my Mother’s boss suggested I look into cosmetic dentistry in Quincy.”
Cosmetic dentistry is dental work that’s focused on improving the appearance of the teeth. While Bill’s teeth were stained, they were still relatively strong and healthy. Meeting with a Quincy cosmetic dentist revealed to him that he could have a more attractive, whiter smile. The whitening options available from a professional are both more effective and safe for your teeth than those found in department stores; the results are both more noticeable and even than any DIY kit can provide.
“I also had some missing teeth that were replaced with implants,” Bill said, “But to me, the really amazing thing was how my Quincy dentist dealt with my crooked teeth. I’d thought my only option was to have all my teeth pulled out and get dentures, but actually, using a process called tooth contouring, those crooked teeth came into line.”
Working with a cosmetic dentist took a little time, but Bill said it was well worth it. “The boost in my self-confidence is just incredible,” he said. “Now I can go into an interview knowing that they’re judging my skills and qualifications, and not just my smile!”
